“Consider the lilies of the field”
a Flower Festival held in Kilmore from the 19th - 21st May 2006

The Select Vestry and parishioners of St Aidan’s Kilmore welcome you to our Flower Festival. We hope you will find pleasure, peace and tranquility as you look at the exhibits, listen to the music, and rest a while in our church which has been build on this ancient site.

Since we began to raise funds for the renovation and extension of our Parish Centre, some five years ago, we have considered having a Flower Festival. We are very happy and thankful that our plans have now been realised.

The exhibits have been designed to reflect not only our theme, but also the faith, which our windows and furnishings in the church represent.

When Jesus asks us to “Consider the lilies of the field” he is reminding us of the beauty and wonder of God’s creation and our dependance on his goodness and mercy. He is also telling us that although we should strive to provide for others and ourselves, we should not be worried and anxious about the things of tomorrow.

May your visit here renew your faith in God’s goodness and we pray that you may leave with a fresh appreciation of the beauty, wonder, and goodness, which can be found in God’s world.
